Wet Or Dry Carpet Cleaning
Which is the best cleaning method?

The simple answer to that question is neither, although most professional carpet cleaners would disagree, and would also boldly claim that their own particular carpet cleaning service or cleaning method was the better option.
This is quite understandable, as most of us would do in an effort to close the deal or make the sale.
The truth in reality, is that both methods are very effective, but  respond differently to the various types of carpet fibres, as well as the overall general condition of the carpet.
So it is therefore fair to say that both wet and dry carpet cleaning have distinct advantages as well as disadvantages and will generally get the job done provided that the right conditions prevail.

Many claim that dry cleaning is ineffective, we would strongly disagree with that, it is not the method that does not work, it is failure on the part of the consultant to disclose the truth

Hot Water Extraction Cleaning Method

  • This is without doubt the best carpet cleaning method on the market today, recommended by carpet manufacturers all across the globe.
Compared to other cleaning methods it provides the most poverful, effective and thorough cleaning experience available anywhere. It is also the safest and healthiest carpet cleaning method system, and is able to rid the carpet of dirt, debris, bacteria excess chemicals, oils and much more.

Dry carpet cleaning method:

Even though it's called "dry carpet cleaning," this system is not entirely dry, due to the absorbent powder being quite moist, this cleaning process involves spreading the powder evenly across the surface of the carpet, where it goes to work immediately, absorbing dirt, oil and grime etc, which then just needs to be vacuumed up with a powerful carpet vacuuming machine, leaving your carpets clean and fresh. This system works remarkbly well, with the added benefit of carpets being able to be completely dry within an hour, and sometimes less.
Our conclusion is that this cleaning method yields some truly amazing results, provided that it is used on a regular basis in a maintenance manner. The results are also much improved, on carpets that undergo proper care and maintenance on a regular basis.
In our view, the one drawback with the dry carpet cleaning method, is that it does not perform as well on carpets that are badly stained and soiled, especialy carpets with a very thick pile, hence the amount of dissatisfied customers that we come across. The problem however is not with the product itself, but could rather be contributed to overly eager sales consultants, who, in an attempt to make a sale fail to disclose the true facts.
We would therefore definately recommend dry carpet cleaning as an effective carpet cleaning alternative, for those who are seeking a dry carpet cleaning solution. This is ofcoarse provided that it is to be used for light to moderate cleaning purposes, and not for badly soiled carpets that require deep cleaning.
